How much does it cost to replace the battery in an electric Nissan Leaf? It looks like the price has gone up to the margins.
An interesting thread has appeared on the My Nissan Leaf forum about the cost of replacing the battery in the first generation Nissan Leaf. Until now, the cost of a battery in the United States was 5,5 thousand dollars, for some time now the price has increased to 7-7,5 thousand dollars per battery plus labor costs.
According to information received about a year ago, replacing the battery at LEAF cost 5,5 thousand US dollars (net per battery) in the USA, or about 26 thousand PLN gross plus wages in Poland (link below). Thus, both amounts were the same:

Now on the My Nissan Leaf forum (source) there are voices that the cost of replacing the battery has increased to at least $ 7, and with costs even up to $ 8,5. In Poland, this will be a proportional change from PLN 26 to at least PLN 33 thousand gross, plus wages and any additional costs indicated under the highlighted link.
The difference is small, but considering the cost of buying a Nissan Leaf in the aftermarket, a possible battery replacement would cost half the cost of the entire vehicle. As a result, a potential buyer may consider Better to spend 67+ minimum 33 + labor = 100 + thousand zlotys on a second-generation second-generation Leaf, or maybe add "a few zlotys" and buy a second-generation car with a larger battery:

As an excuse for Nissan, it's worth adding that the Japanese manufacturer is reselling AESC, Nissan and Nec, which makes the Leaf elements. The deal is due to be completed by March 2019 and the Chinese Envision Group will take over all the cell factories. When that happens, Nissan will have to buy batteries from the open market.
