As part of the electromobilni.pl social campaign, a virtual comparison mechanism was launched, which makes it easy to estimate the cost of charging an electric car at home. A tool to account for the tariffs of individual operators after the increase in energy prices in January this year.

Using the comparison mechanism is very simple. Here it is enough to select the tariff of the given Distribution System Operator (Enea, Energa, Innogy, PGE, Tauron), the make and model of the electric vehicle from the database of all electric vehicles available for sale in Poland, the declared mileage of the vehicle and the predicted share of electric vehicle charging at home. In this way, we find out how much it will cost us to charge our electric car monthly and annually. The tool also allows you to enter household energy consumption for other needs, thanks to which we can easily determine both the predicted electricity bill in the new realities of 2021, with and without an electric car, and compare the bill amount with other available tariff options. . In addition to the current tariffs, the tool also takes into account tariffs from 2020, thanks to which we can calculate the actual increase in the electricity bill.

When choosing the G1488 tariff of the PGE operator, it was assumed that the mentioned 12 percent. accruals will take place in the zone of low tariffs (night time). In turn, with the G80w tariff, 12 percent was accepted. due to the low tariff zone operating on weekends. Tariff G85 turned out to be the best in all analyzed options. Charging cost calculator at public stations

The fare comparison mechanism is not the only tool launched as part of the elektrobilni.pl campaign, which allows you to optimize the operating costs of an electric vehicle. – The comparison is in line with the expectations of EV drivers in Poland. According to the PSPA New Mobility Barometer, almost 97 percent. Poles would like to charge their electric car at home, but also have access to faster public chargers. By comparing tariffs, they can choose the best deal to recharge their car battery at home, and the public charging cost calculator will calculate the cost of random charging at fast DC stations – says Lukasz Lewandowski from EV Klub Polska.
