The number of speeding offences, since the beginning of the year, has meant that the Kielce traffic police have prepared a preventive action that should capture the imagination of all road users. The approaching warmer days mean that some drivers are not following the rules of the road, especially regarding the speed limit. At Tor Kielce in Miedziana Góra, drivers, passengers and pedestrians could see what cars looked like after a road traffic accident that occurred due to speeding. At the same time, pointing out that the place for fast driving is a track, and not a public road.

The action was supported by police officers of the Traffic Department of the Main Police Headquarters in Kielce. Such activities are primarily aimed at reducing the number of road traffic accidents in which participants are seriously injured or killed on the road.

The overwhelming majority of the drivers inspected expressed support for such initiatives by the Kielce officers. For all the drivers checked on that day, the police prepared a special booklet containing information about the current speeds in Poland, indicating the zones and vehicles they concern. There was also a photo of the car from the scene of the accident.

The number of offenses related to exceeding the speed limit revealed during the action indicates that the actions brought the expected effect. Only 11 out of 389 vehicles were inspected. There were also several minor collisions in which only vehicles were damaged. Fortunately, nothing serious happened.
