Who is entitled to a social taxi and how to order it?

Social taxi is designed to help people with disabilities who cannot use public transport and move freely around the city.

The state subsidizes from 50 to 90% of such a trip. This creates a significant burden on an already modest budget. The social taxi service can be used by people who cannot move independently or this possibility is very limited.

Transportation at reduced rates is carried out only to certain objects, their list is different in each city. First of all, these are objects such as:

• police;
• hospitals;
• pharmacies participating in various government programs to provide people with disabilities with affordable medicines;
• rehabilitation centers and other organizations that help people with disabilities adapt to the social environment;
• various charitable organizations or providing free services to the disabled.

Specially equipped vehicles are used for the transportation of disabled people. There are still few such cars, and if several people apply for transport at once, they will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Certain categories of citizens enjoy priority. These are disabled people of the 1st group and wheelchair users, who are practically unable to move independently.

For the same categories of citizens, the trip will cost the least. They receive a 90% discount on the main list and 70% on the additional list. For the rest, the discount will be 80% and 50%, respectively.

Who can take advantage of the benefit?

Social taxi services can be used by:

• disabled persons of any group up to 7 years;
• who needs to use a wheelchair, crutches, a cane due to limited ability to move independently due to disability, up to 18 years;
• legal representatives of disabled children;
• people with disabilities belonging to the first group;
• participants in the Second World War or previously imprisoned in a Nazi concentration camp, which led to disability;
• with a visual disability under 18 years of age;
• registered as a member of a large family in Moscow and living in low-rise housing stock;
• disabled people belonging to the second group, after 80 years;
• accompanying people with disabilities.

The car portal Vodi.su draws your attention to the fact that the number of trips is limited: citizens who are studying or working can count on 80 trips per month, others - only 20. There are no restrictions for trips to rehabilitation activities.

What documents are required?

Before ordering a social taxi, you need to submit documents to the All-Russian Organization of the Disabled.

• a civil passport and a certificate of disability, copies of these documents are sufficient, the originals will remain on hand;
• a copy of the document on the rehabilitation program for the disabled;
• social card bank data.

To order a social taxi, you need to call a certain phone number in advance. It has its own in every locality.

It is also planned to significantly increase the geography of the program, to make the program work in smaller settlements.
