Pocket Rocket is a new electric scooter developed by SOL Motors for 3 years, SOL is short for Speed Of Light. In October 2018, the Stuttgart, Germany-based company unveiled a prototype of its new vehicle, which it described as "light, versatile, and the perfect electric two-wheeler for urban travel."

After 3 years, Pocket Rocket is ready for production and sale. The SOL two-wheeled vehicle is powered by a 4 kW engine that provides its top speed of 45 km / h. The manufacturer also offers a version called Pocket Rocket "S", which is powered by a 6 kW engine and can reach speeds of up to 80 km / h. an electric motor integrated into the rear wheel provides 120 Nm of torque for the first model and 160 Nm for the second.
The lithium-ion battery hidden in the horizontal tube is removable. Its power is 2,5 kWh in both versions. As for autonomy, the manufacturer announces a power reserve of 50 to 80 kilometers with charging.

Lightness and stability
Weighing only 55 kg without battery, the Pocket Rocket is undoubtedly one of the lightest electric scooters in the world. Its 16-inch wheels provide an extremely stable ride, and its combined braking system (CBS) ensures optimal user safety.
Small but very expensive
Available in two colors (black or silver), the SOL electric two-wheeler is clearly not cheap. Offered at a price of 5 euros in the base version, it rises to 980 euros for the more powerful S version.
With the first payment of € 500, pre-orders are open in 12 European countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
