Driving during the day, we do not notice that the windows are dirty. However, at night the light is scattered by the mud. Then we curse our wipers for their inefficiency and all the traffic in the opposite direction for badly adjusted headlights. Meanwhile, the discomfort from such driving is due to our inattention.

The only effective way to prevent this is to frequently wash all the windows (outside) in the car by hand.

Detergents that have proven themselves on home windows are ideal for this. Remember that wiping the windows with shampoo when washing the entire car is ineffective. The shampoo will remove dust and dirt, it will not cope with chemical deposits.

It is also important to wash windows from the inside often, especially if we smoke cigarettes in the car.

What's with the rug?

Rain, fog, high humidity and dirt require frequent wiper use.

Let's check how the ones we currently use work. They must collect water from a glass in just one stroke. If the rug does not collect water well, leaves stains, creaks, vibrates - most likely, it is worn out and needs to be replaced. Very good rubbers last a maximum of two years. The worst ones should be culled after one season - preferably before the autumn rains, because then they will have the hardest work.

A squeaky, squeaky and vibrating wiper may mean that all brushes and arms may need to be replaced with original ones recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. However, the high cost of replacement should be taken into account. So we will select pens from well-known and trusted manufacturers of accessories. Their products must work just like those marked with our machine symbol.

If the machine is less worn, it is usually enough to replace only the blades or only the rubber bands, which is cheaper. However, it often happens that they are made of some material and after a month they are no longer suitable for use.

When the liquid is not liquid

In November, after using the lukewarm fluid in the washer reservoir, fill in the winter fluid in its place.

You can not count on the fact that there will be no frost. Will. Longtime drivers have been surprised by the frost more than once, cutting through the summer windshield washer fluid in a container.

Freezing a lukewarm liquid usually does not cause the container or tube to rupture, but it can have other unfortunate consequences. During the first frosts, ice or snow on the road, sprinkled with salt, will create a mud slurry, which, thrown out by the wheels of the car in front, will effectively stain the windshield. We will be helpless with the frozen liquid.
