Follow our tips to get your Velobecane up and running quickly.
First, carefully unpack the bike, remove the protective elements.
You are responsible for assembling certain items for shipping safety reasons and in accordance with applicable laws.
Keep in mind that any type of bike, whether you buy it online or from a store, requires commissioning.
This means that despite our best efforts to package our bicycles, it is possible that our belongings will be more or less abused during transport, and you will need to make some changes.
You may experience tension or loosening of the spokes on one of the wheels (opening), adjusting the brake pads, or replacing a mudguard that may have twisted slightly.
It could also be that the paint on your bike is not intact and is slightly scratched.
This commissioning is simple, but necessary, especially when the purchase is done online.

Assembling your Velobecane electric bike takes just a few minutes. Indeed, you do not need to rack your brains for hours, this is a very simple assembly. Take scissors and a 15 mm open-end wrench.
First of all, you just need to turn the bike around, remembering to lock the frame. In the next step, remove all protective packaging with scissors and reinstall the handlebar. Don't forget about the drawstring sleeves to get things right. Then all you have to do is adjust the saddle to fit your size. Using an open-end wrench, screw on the pedals in accordance with the assembly direction. To finish, you just need to put the battery back in place and activate it by pressing the "ON" button. Don't forget to test your brakes and you're done.
The feeling of piloting
Once you have installed your Velobecane electric bike and fully charged the battery, everything is in your hands. Insert the key into the battery, put it in the "ON" mode, turn on the assistance selector and get into the saddle! Once on the bike, just start normally and the battery will accelerate your bike. Then you will move faster by pedaling. Your speed will double. There are small pushes that help you rather than tire you out. You must keep pedaling during the ride. The e-bike will not move forward on its own. Hence the name VAE: Electric Assistance Bike. The feeling you get is a much higher speed compared to a regular bike. The e-bike allows you to accelerate, adjust to your pace and help on descents.
