Tips for Preparing Yourself to Sell

Aesthetic and maintenance of the car will help to get the highest possible value in the market. An abandoned car does not inspire confidence, its sale will be delayed, and the price will greatly depreciate.

Many people want to buy a new car and want to sell or sell their old cars. The money raised from the sale depends on the physical and mechanical condition of the car.

Much of the resale value is predetermined, but car owners can add value by taking care of the vehicle to keep it in the best possible condition.

Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge service experts provide the following tips to help you prepare your vehicle for resale or rental.

1.- Keep everything in the car

Keep all documentation that came with your vehicle when you bought it, a key component of resale value. Proprietary materials include warranty manual and user manual. It is also important to have a spare key and, if applicable, a trunk or hood lid.

2.- Automotive fluids

Open the chest and fill in all the liquids. These include brake fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid, as well as oil, coolant, and antifreeze.

3.- Check all systems

First, check the instrument panel for warning lights that are lit and fix any problems indicated. Second, make sure all headlights, locks, windows, wipers, turn signals, trunk release, mirrors, seat belts, horn, air conditioning and heating systems. Accessories purchased with the vehicle, such as heated seats or a sunroof, must also be in good working order.

4.- Test drive

Make sure the car starts easily and the shift lever works properly. Also, check your steering and make sure your cruise control, overdrive, gauges and sound system are in top condition. Finally, check if the acceleration and brakes are working effectively.

5.- Leaks

Check for leaks, check under the hood for a sudden drop in fluid level.

6.- Good appearance 

Externally check for dents and scratches, make sure all wheels match and are full, remove decals and decals. Inside, it cleans floors, rugs and seats, as well as panels and dashboard. Remove all personal items from the glove box and trunk. Finally, professionally wash and detail before making a resale value estimate.
