Sports ignition

It seems to the average driver that the spark plug of a stock car and a racing car is the same. Nothing could be more wrong.

First of all, they differ in their design and composition. Length, diameter and size are also different. Platinum and yttrium are often used in rally cars to improve electrode quality.

Finally, the consumption of candles in our cars and "races" is radically different.

In a factory car, only 10% of the time the spark plugs work at full load, and in the case of sports cars, the spark plugs reach their maximum load in 70% of the time.

For example, a racing team consumes a set of spark plugs at one stage of a rally. In this system, it is necessary to use a huge number of "new plants", the number of which reaches 4000 per season.
