Sports cars, supercars and hypercars - what are they and how do they differ?

The automotive world can be compared to a bottomless well. Even experienced drivers and fans of the roar of the engine are constantly learning something new and can not complain about boredom. The automotive industry is so large that it is constantly improving, technical innovations appear that we had not previously guessed. Fans are surprised by the new solutions and improvements. Cars surprise not only with the interior, but also visually. In this article, we will look at three groups of cars - sports cars, supercars and hypercars. I know that the names themselves can make you dizzy, but there is nothing to be afraid of. Let's start by answering the main question.

Lamborghini Gallardo supercar

What determines the assignment to this category?

Let's say one thing: each of the cars classified in one of these categories is undoubtedly a speed demon. These cars give goosebumps just listening to the roar of the engine. Thus, the rationale for considering any vehicle is how quickly it can get there.

So how can we conclude that this car belongs to a sports car and not a hypercar? This is due to many factors, and, unfortunately, we cannot determine the main condition for belonging to a particular category. We can only be guided by the rule: the more luxurious the car, the more desirable and inaccessible to an ordinary bread eater. Of course, the make of the car is important, the modern solutions used in it and the visual presentation of the car. In relation to the above-mentioned principle, the price of the car also plays an important role. The higher it is, the more likely it is to be classified as a hypercar. However, it should be remembered that the opinions of users are subjective and for one person a car may belong, for example, to supercars, while for another it is still a sports car.

Sports cars

This is the most accessible category. However, this should not be associated with anything worse. The sports car category includes cars that can also reach amazing speeds.

Porsche Carrera 911

The car that became an icon. These cars, produced for almost 60 years, hold a special place in the hearts of many car enthusiasts. Acceleration to 100 km/h is 4,8 seconds and top speed is 302 km/h.

And in the end, we were left with hypercars. The word hyper was not added in vain, because these cars are undeniably extraordinary. Nice, fast, mostly inaccessible. Technical miracles that make you shiver. They delight not only with the engine's capabilities, but also with a stunning appearance. If, in your opinion, something cannot be done in the car, the hypercar should prove that you are wrong. The strength of these monsters reaches 1000 km.

Lamborghini Aventador

However, let's start with a model that will bring us closer to the standards of cars that fall into the category of hypercars. This is the most affordable model. However, this was not enough for the creators, and they developed a model that had no equal. For five years of work, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport was built. Tests carried out on it showed that this automobile beast exceeds 430 km / h and thus took first place among the fastest cars in the world.
