La Green Endurance Racinga team of former students at Imperial College London made a crazy bet; cross transamerican (connecting all of America) in an all-electric version of the Radical SR8m they made themselves. The three-month trip will begin in northern Alaska and end in Tierra del Fuego in South America. This event will be organized to expose all the clichés about electric vehicles and demonstrate to people that they can be fast, reliable and durable.

Back to Racing Green Endurance, it is primarily a team of young people who seem to be more than interested in promoting e-mobility. When asked about the inspiration to create SRZeroAndy Hadland, team spokesman, replies that it happened naturally and that Radical SR8 was recognized as the best choice due to its tubular frame, to which the batteries were easily adapted. In addition, the original model was built and styled to minimize overall weight, so since weight is a major aspect of EV design, the Radical SR8 proved to be an ideal candidate for retraining.

In terms of vehicle performance, the 2.6-liter V8 engine and six-speed gearbox have been removed to make room for two electric motors (AC synchronous axial flow)... These engines have been tailored to maximize vehicle power and production every 200 horses steam power. The motorization of the vehicle will be powered by the battery. Lithium phosphate de fer who will take a seat behind the driver. This 56 kWh battery will provide range of about 400 km for Racing Green Endurance.

With regard to crossing the Darien congestion (Darien Gap), the group intends to transport the car by sea. They have already met with the ambassadors of Panama and Colombia, respectively, to obtain visas.

The team also has a desire to conduct London-Paris route in the coming weeks and is open to comments, tips and sponsors. (Feel free to leave some below)
