Term of deprivation of a driver's license - for (drunk driving) drunkenness, oncoming traffic

There are different penalties for traffic violations:

  • there are many articles in the Code of Administrative Offenses, according to which the driver is facing the easiest penalty at the moment in the form of a warning (illegible numbers, violation of towing rules, failure to provide an advantage to other vehicles);
  • the minimum amount of the fine at the moment is 500 rubles (use of prohibited tinting, U-turn or reversing where it is prohibited by signs);
  • deprivation of a driver's license - we will talk about this punishment now.

First of all, it is worth noting that the Code of Offenses interprets different violations in different ways, respectively, and the punishment depends on the circumstances - there are very few articles that would provide only a certain amount or type of punishment. For example, for the same unreadable numbers, you can get a fine of 500 rubles, or you can get off with a warning. The same applies to the period of deprivation of rights.

The longest period of deprivation of rights is 3 years, it is provided for those drivers who are repeatedly caught “drinking”.

So it should be, as they wrote on old posters - "Drunkenness fight." The same article provides for a fine of 50 thousand rubles. If a driver in a state of intoxication is caught for the first time, then he will face a fine of 30 thousand and deprivation of rights for 18-24 months. The same will be expected in the event that the driver transfers control to another person who is in a state of intoxication.
