Subaru Outback 3.0 all wheel drive

Interestingly, it has not yet been possible to get a good class of cars, which is quite popular - elevated and at least in appearance caravans similar to SUVs. Audi Allroad, Volvo XC are the cars that dominated this class. But the new Outback, which is of course closely related internally (and externally) to the new Legacy, is definitely a car that is a very strong contender in this class.

For example, the interior: the materials already show that they are chosen for charm, the sensors supported by Optitron technology are easy to read and feel good at night. The screens of the standard audio system and air conditioner, as well as all other switches, are highlighted in one color.

(Almost all) ergonomics are great too. The steering wheel is height-only adjustable, but thanks to the generously adjustable seat, shifting right-hand steering wheel, shifter and steering wheel levers, you won't miss any extra adjustment features - apart from the ability to even lower the front seat. below the lowest position, above 190 cm.

It also sits well in the back, there is enough space for the knees (also due to the slightly too short longitudinal movement of the front seats), and the trunk is large enough for a car of this class.

This time, a three-liter six-cylinder boxer was hidden under the hood, just like a Subaru should be. Its 245 boxing "horses" in combination with a five-speed automatic transmission (of course, with the possibility of manual shifting) is quite enough for a sharp acceleration on asphalt and rally inserts worthy of Peter Solberg.

Much of the credit goes to the excellent chassis, which is comfortable enough to ride on gravel. Thus, on the asphalt, the Outback leans more than you might expect, but the position on the road does not suffer at all. The only negative is consumption: on average, the test was not bad 13 liters per 100 kilometers, but much less can not be used up even with careful pressing of the accelerator pedal.

“Let” Outback proves time and time again that this is a good choice. If you're not into basketball highs and if your wallet can handle it, just be brave: you won't miss it.
