All-wheel drive is standard on Subaru vehicles. In the new model, the company even offers two such solutions. For manual transmissions, this is a viscous coupling system that splits the torque in half on each axle. If the wheels of one of them start to spin, more power is transferred to the other axle. Vehicles with a Lineatronic transmission, on the other hand, are equipped with an MP-T system with a multi-plate clutch that divides the drive between the axles in a ratio of 60:40. The system monitors driving conditions and sends more torque to the rear wheels as needed.
The engine range includes three boxer units - two gasoline and a turbodiesel. The smallest and weakest has a volume of 1,6 liters, a power of 114 hp. and maximum torque of 150 Nm. The second most powerful - two liters of displacement squeeze out 150 hp. and maximum torque of 196 Nm. While the former takes 13,1 seconds to accelerate the car to 100 km/h, the latter takes 10,5 seconds. However, this is not the fastest version. Two-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 147 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. This engine can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 9,3 seconds. By the way, turbodiesel is the most economical. The fuel consumption of this version averages 5,6 l/100 km, while the weaker petrol engine burns 5,8 l and the more powerful one burns 0,1 l more.
Gasoline engines are available not only with manual transmissions (less with five speeds and more with six speeds), but also with the continuously variable Lineartronic automatic transmission, which can also behave like a six-speed manual transmission in sequential shift mode.
Diesel engines are only mated to a six-speed manual transmission. All engines are equipped with an Auto Start Stop system that can be disabled.
This is just one of many electronic driver assistance systems. We have cruise control, TCS traction control, Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist, Hill Start Assist, automatic wipers and lights. Passive safety is provided by 7 airbags, as well as folding pedals and a steering column in case of an accident.
