Electric vehicle subsidies from the Low Emissions Transport Fund? Well, not quite

Portals have big headlines, our inbox is full of questions "Subsidies for electric cars have started, but you are not writing anything ?!" To be clear, a regulation on subsidizing electric vehicles from the Low Emissions Transport Fund came into force today. But this does not mean that subsidies have begun. Let's analyze the documents carefully:

Low Emission Transport Fund and Electric Vehicle Subsidies

  • Low Emission Transport Fund and Electric Vehicle Subsidies
    • Low emission transport fund, subsidies and cars that will meet the limits

According to the regulation on subsidies, it comes into force after 14 days from the date of publication (p. 11). So today, November 28, everything is correct here.

However, the ruling itself is just an invitation to get on the treadmill - start will announce a shot... In case of surcharge for electric vehicles, "shot" / the start of the subsidy will be the announcement of the acceptance of applications for the subsidy... Let's look at point 10:

In the first announcement announced after the date of entry into force of this Regulation, support may be provided for vehicles purchased after the date of announcement of this announcement.

The first call for proposals is announced “after the date of entry into force of this Regulation”. This will not be until November 29th.

The subsidy (support) "may apply to vehicles purchased after the date of the announcement of the hire." So if the set is announced no earlier than November 29, then Electricity buyers with an invoice dated November 30 will be able to apply for a subsidy.... At least that's what the regulations say.

The National Endowment for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) will be in charge of providing the subsidies, so it is likely that this institution will publish applications that will need to be completed in order to apply for funding:
