What is an SGA additive?
The SGA additive is a joint project between Suprotec and A-Proved. The composition is a multi-purpose fuel additive. The main distinguishing feature is a soft and time-stretched effect. Let us explain.
Most modern fuel system additives have a pronounced effect. Their action is aimed at achieving the fastest result. However, this is not always good.
Let's imagine such a situation. A small solid build-up has formed in the joint of the fuel lines, after a long drive on low-quality fuel. A good, effective additive will quickly undermine it and wash it off. However, this growth may not have time to decompose into small, harmless particles. And a foreign element may well settle in the nozzle sprayer and make the situation even worse.
Therefore, some motorists who have had a negative experience with the use of such fuel additives speak negatively about them. Other drivers, based on these reviews, do not risk pouring such compounds into the tanks of their cars.
Additive "Suprotek-Aprokhim" SGA has a very mild effect. It combines cleaning components, which A-Proved has advanced far in development, and lubricating and protective components, which Suprotec is an expert in creating. The creators of the additive deliberately made the effect of its use extended over time, which almost completely eliminates the negative effects of a sharp cleaning of contaminated fuel lines.
How does Suprotec SGA work?
Additive "Suprotek" SGA is poured into gasoline in one of two proportions: 1 or 2 ml per 1 liter of fuel. In relatively new engines with a range of up to 50 thousand km, you need to fill in 1 ml per 1 liter (on average, one bottle of 50 ml per tank of fuel). In engines with a mileage of more than 50 thousand km - 2 bottles of 50 ml per fuel tank. The manufacturer allows deviations from the recommended proportion upwards, but does not recommend abuse.
Suprotec SGA additive has four main actions:
- cleaning - smooth and slow removal of contaminants from the fuel system;
- lubricating - reducing the coefficient of friction in the parts of the fuel pump and injectors;
- restorative - partial renovation of worn friction surfaces in the system due to Suprotec technology;
- protective - a significant reduction in the risk of corrosion damage to fuel system parts.
There are several effects from using the SGA additive.
- Reduced fuel consumption. On older engines, by restoring pressure in the system and cleaning the injector nozzles, the savings reach 20%. On relatively fresh internal combustion engines, this effect is not pronounced or absent at all.
- Improving the power characteristics of internal combustion engines. The increase is usually small. But in some cases, if there were serious problems in the system, and the additive helped to eliminate them, the engine becomes much more frisky.
- Extending the life of fuel system elements. If the additive is filled in on time and used systematically, then, according to the manufacturer, this will significantly increase the service life of the plunger pairs, the pump and the nozzle valves.
- Smoke reduction. Due to proper combustion, the fuel-air mixture is as close as possible to the stoichiometric ratio, and the amount of soot emissions is reduced.
- Extended turbine and catalyst life. The uptime of these elements is directly related to the correct operation of the power system.
The full effect of the additive occurs after about 1000 km of run. This means that for an average car with a consumption of 10 liters per 100 km, about 100 liters of fuel will need to be rolled out. That is, you have to pour the additive into the tank twice.
Suprotec SDA diesel
This composition is not fundamentally different from the gasoline version of the additive. The difference between "SDA" and "SGA" lies in the specifics of the diesel engine, which forced manufacturers to slightly adjust the composition and proportions of the components used.
Early in the development of Suprotec SDA, the additive was found to affect the cetane number of diesel fuel. Changes in this parameter were insignificant, but the company could not afford such jumps. Therefore, for more than 2 years, research has been carried out, the composition of the components has been adjusted and experiments have been carried out on motors operating in real conditions.
And only when the employees of the joint laboratory "Suprotek" and "Aprokhim" managed to ensure that the additive ceased to affect the properties of the fuel, it was put into production.
The beneficial effects and the effect obtained from the use of the SDA additive are practically the same as the gasoline version of this composition. The method of application and proportions are similar.
Reviews about Suprotec SGA
Motorists generally leave positive feedback about the SGA additive from Suprotec. More often than others, the effect of reducing fuel consumption and increasing engine power and throttle response is noted. Less often, motorists talk about reducing the noise of the internal combustion engine and reducing smoke.
There are also negative reviews about SGA Suprotec. They are usually based on an overestimated expectation of the action of the additive. For example, there is a review on the network from the driver of a GAZelle car, who, after using the SGA composition, did not see the difference between “before” and “after”. It is important to understand here that with a normally working power system, the difference that a person is able to notice with his senses may not be at all. A 2 dB noise reduction is simply not able to be noticed by the human ear. And a 1% reduction in fuel consumption is unlikely to be tracked.
Also, a power system worn to the limit will not be helped by any additive. And the only option in this case is the repair or replacement of failed parts.
