city

In the face 4,3 meters length and almost 1,8 wide, suzuki s-cross it is not exactly a small car, but in city traffic it is not at all uncomfortable. This is thanks to the very light clutch and the 1.4 Boosterjet engine, which is so flexible that it allows you to drive in sixth position at 60 km / h by “removing” the accelerator pedal. So, being a gasoline engine, it also has the advantage that it warms up faster and has no FAP problems when used on short trips, which is important.

Le performance they are adequate: 0-100 km / h in 10,5 seconds and 200 km / h maximum speed;

the only drawback is rear visibility. The cool version lacks front and rear parking sensors, but they can be added by paying 189 euros.

Outside the city

La Suzuki S-Cross 1.4 Boosterjet loves medium to long distance trips, preferably with a lot of corners. It feels like a thin car (weighs only 1290 kg): the precise and well-weighted steering and comfortable gear lever make the Suzuki S-Cross very pleasant to drive.

1.4 Boosterjet provides 140 h.p. and 220 Nm of torque: it is clearly a nicer engine than the 1.6 diesel, it is more velvety, elastic and quiet, even if at medium revs it does not have the same power as the 1.6 diesel; on the other hand, it has more reach and more linear delivery.

When used correctly (1.000 to 2.000 rpm with a little gasoline), it will effortlessly take you on a ride wherever you go with very little consumption. The house claims the combined use is 5,6 l / 100 km, but with (very) careful management we have been able to achieve more; A good win for a turbocharged gasoline engine. However, when climbs and mountainous areas begin, the flow increases significantly, but let's assume that the real 16 km / l is within reach.
