The S-Cross 1.4 Boosterjet is a worthy alternative to the diesel version: with careful management, the savings are more than 2.000 euros, and the consumption is excellent. There is plenty of space on board and the Cool setup is fairly complete.

1.4 Boosterjet provides 140 h.p. and 220 Nm of torque: it is clearly a nicer engine than the 1.6 diesel, it is more velvety, elastic and quiet, even if at medium revs it does not have the same power as the 1.6 diesel; on the other hand, it has more reach and more linear delivery.
When used correctly (1.000 to 2.000 rpm with a little gasoline), it will effortlessly take you on a ride wherever you go with very little consumption. The house claims the combined use is 5,6 l / 100 km, but with (very) careful management we have been able to achieve more; A good win for a turbocharged gasoline engine. However, when climbs and mountainous areas begin, the flow increases significantly, but let's assume that the real 16 km / l is within reach.
