It should be noted that the above effectiveness of anticorrosive agent Tektil can only be achieved by pre-treatment of the protected surface with Tectyl ML GreenLine, after which it is necessary to thoroughly dry the surface from water and water-based compounds, as well as remove old rust stains. With its high penetrating power, Tectyl ML GreenLine penetrates deep into gaps and crevices. Since the substance is supplied in the form of an aerosol mixture, the recommended temperatures for its use should be in the range of 10...250C.
Components of Tectyl ML GreenLine:
- petroleum resins;
- low-viscosity oils of multiple distillation;
- organic solvent (solvent);
- flavoring;
- film formers;
- polarizing oils that repel ultraviolet rays.
Tectyl BodySafe Wax, the main anti-corrosion composition, which has a higher viscosity, includes:
- wax-asphalt compounds;
- universal corrosion inhibitors;
- solvents;
- deodorizing agents;
- anti-abrasive film formers;
- antifoam components.
The basis for all of the above components is an aqueous medium, so Tectyl BodySafe Wax is a sprayable emulsion. The composition is designed to form a water-repellent film on the surface of containers for storing liquid media, pipelines, cables and hydraulic brake lines.
Tectyl MultiPurpose is a combination solvent in the form of an emulsion, which is an anti-corrosion agent that is supplied in the form of an aerosol. The composition is distinguished by stable water-repellent characteristics and increased penetrating properties, which makes it very convenient as a universal anti-corrosion protection agent. This provides Tectyl MultiPurpose with a wide range of applications: wheeled and marine transport, domestic and industrial appliances, pipelines, etc.
Due to the increased concentration of active components during processing, preliminary cleaning is not necessary, but it is recommended to work in a respirator and protective gloves made of petrol-resistant rubber.
It is impossible not to mention the rust converter Tectyl Zinc, which the manufacturer recommends to increase the effectiveness of the above compositions. If the surface is sufficiently resistant to mechanical removal of rust (cleaned from dirt with white spirit), it is advisable to treat it with Tectyl Zinc and wait for the oxide layer to transform into a loose mass, which is then easily removed from the surface of the car body. For hidden cavities (for example, behind the fender liner), it is better to carry out a two-stage treatment: first with Tectyl Zinc, and then with Tectyl ML GreenLine or Tectyl BodySafe Wax. This is explained by the fact that as a result, the stability of the coating from external mechanical influences increases.

We also note that there are negative reviews about the products described. In particular, users complain about the insufficient resistance of the composition when operating the car in difficult conditions (anti-gravel treatment with Tektil-190 is required), the low efficiency of the spray for multi-layer bodywork, increased requirements for uniformity of coating, especially in hard-to-reach places of the car.
