While France is one of the last European states to allow circulation of motorcycles without worrying about their degree of obsolescence, some countries such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom have already adopted this measure for a long time.

As a reminder, for vehicles intended for a specific use, a technical inspection is mandatory for all vehicles over 4 years old at intervals of once every two years. In case of resale, the inspection period must be less than 6 months.
