Fourth edition of the Monte-Carlo Energie Alternative Rally, became the scene of a new triumph for Tesla. Recall that last year Tesla won the first prize in its category and set a new world record (flight range) for an electric car, covering a total distance of 387 km on a single charge.

The 2010 Monte Carlo Rally brought together no less than 118 vehicles equipped with various alternative engine systems such as hybrids running on LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), E85 or CNG (natural gas for cars), an all-electric system and others. cars using approved alternative energy.

The candidates had to take part in a three-day race along all the legendary roads of the Monte Carlo Automobile Rally. A competition that aims to reward the vehicles that have achieved the best result in three different categories, namely: consumption, performance and regularity.

Having gone through various stages, Tesla was able to demonstrate his clear superiority, demonstrating himself at the level performance and autonomythus becoming the first all-electric car win first prize in a competition sponsored by the FIA ​​(Fédération Internationale de L'Automobile).
