Tesla: Warranty for used cars reduced to 1 year. But time runs from the end of the basic warranty (4 years)

Tesla has slightly changed the warranty terms for used cars it sells. Instead of previous additional 2 or 4 years after 4 years basic warranty, car buyer will be able to use the remaining warranty period from the standard 4 years and receive an additional 1 year Used car limited warranty.

Thus, the maximum will be 5 years instead of 6 or 8. And these conditions are still better than what the competition offers. At worst: equivalent.

It is also worth recalling the general terms and conditions of Tesla's warranties purchased in Poland. For new cars it is Limited New Car Warrantywhat is valid for 4 years or 80 thousand kilometers... It is 8 years for the battery and transmission, but the maximum mileage depends on the car model:

• Model S i X - 8 years or 240 thousand kilometers, whichever comes first, while maintaining mines. 70 percent battery capacity for the entire warranty period (falling below this capacity means free repair),
• Model 3 i and Long Range / Performance – 8 years or 192 miles, whichever comes first; below 70 percent power, the vehicle is repairable.
• Model 3 i Y Standard / Plus standard range – 8 years or 160 miles, whichever comes first; below 70 percent power, the vehicle is repairable.

The rest of the vehicle subsystems may have different warranty periods, for example, replaced under warranty the multimedia system (MCU) is covered by a 2 years or 40 XNUMX kilometers warranty (but the new one is covered by the standard warranty):

Note from the editors of www.elektrowoz.pl: in the United States, the clause allowing the return of the car after 7 days / 1 kilometer has also disappeared if we did not like the car. And here again the curiosity: the declaration is not in the Polish configurator, but you can still find it in the German or British configurator.

The 4 + 1 warranty is still equal to or better than what competitors have to offer, and the existing 4 + 4 or 4 + unlimited drive and battery warranty has become a worldwide phenomenon.
