Tesla bought a Canadian company specializing in the production of batteries and accessories for this process.

Interesting Tesla purchase. Between July and October 2019, Elon Musk acquired Hibar Systems, a Canadian manufacturer of equipment used in the battery manufacturing process. It remains only to guess what this purchase will be used for:

According to Electric Autonomy, Hibar Systems was founded in the early XNUMXs by German-Canadian engineer Neinz Barall. An automated pumping system developed by a Canadian company has made the company a leader in small batteries (source).

Hibar Systems recently boasted of receiving a grant of C $ 2 million (equivalent to PLN 5,9 million) for construction of a high-speed lithium-ion battery production line.

It is not entirely clear whether Tesla is already using Hibar Systems solutions or is just entering this alliance. However, you can guess that the main goal of the car manufacturer is a far-reaching optimization of battery strips for the Tesla Model 3, and in the future, possibly also the Tesla Semi, Model S and X.

That's not all. About three years ago, Elon Musk's company entered into another agreement with a Canadian company in the same segment. It is a laboratory headed by Jeff Dunn, one of the world's foremost scientists in the field of lithium-ion cells. The lab has just published the results of research on cells that can withstand 3-4 thousand charge cycles:

> The lab, powered by Tesla, boasts elements that will withstand MILLIONS of run.

It's easy to guess that since the results were publicly available, Dahn has already taken 2 steps forward, and Tesla is probably implementing the technology on a large scale ...
