Tesla Roadster is the future of electricity
The Tesla Roadster is an electric vehicle manufactured by Tesla Motors. The roadster was created in collaboration with Lotus. The design of the car is based on the Lotus Elise and both cars share common parts. To reduce weight, the body is made of embossed carbon fiber. The 185 kW (248 hp) electric motor allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4,2 seconds, while the Roadster has a top speed of 210 km / h. The driver has a two-speed manual transmission. Second gear should be engaged after exceeding 100 km / h. It takes less than 3,5 hours to fully charge the batteries, and you can travel about 360 km on a single charge. Such a large range is possible thanks to the use of lithium-ion batteries.
