Why did we choose the term "box" for the name? This is another name for a cute jewelry box that usually keeps you company by the bed and is not as hidden, not to mention prestige, as a wall safe, cash register or safe. This is for men who are more afraid of thieves than earthquakes, while women prefer to enjoy the company of grandma's jewelry and popular locker watches without fear. Small is not always a bad thing and by no means only for women - like talking about a box or Q2, what do you say?

Audi's smallest crossover in the photo is misleading. The large grille and aggressive headlights confidently support anyone traveling too slowly down the highway lane, and the large taillights using LED technology may not be as narrow as most crossovers (including the Volkswagen Group, which share a common modern MQB platform) ... follow current design trends, but other crushers are not on display for long due to the jump drives. And, mind you, the test car had only a 1,4-liter engine, although the S line equipment suits it very much!

The Audi Q2 is 20 centimeters shorter than the Audi Q3 and has only 405 liters in the luggage compartment, which means that at its modest 4,19 meters, it is the least spacious in the rear seats, and the trunk is only 25 liters larger. than the Volkswagen Golf. And apart from the price, to which we will return, we can safely say that it is done with small minuses. Can we even say this? No, this is a deliberate decision about the little things, when Q2, like a box, hits the heart. And if we are proud of family souvenirs, then we are happy in a premium car.

Before riding with him on the first run, I looked at the tires for a bit. Ugh, gentlemen, here are whole 19-inch wheels, and there is nothing more modest on them (winter) tires 235/40. If we know that 16- to 19-inch tires are allowed on this car, I was a little skeptical about the corresponding comfort on Slovenian roads, as curvy low-profile tires are not always the best solution. It took me only a few kilometers of more difficult corners to smile behind the wheel: what a pleasure! I really liked all the driving programs (Efficient, Comfort, Auto or Individual) on the main road, with the exception of the most sporty Dynamic program, which I saved for a beautiful mountain road, so the chassis and precise steering system pleased me. Add to that the sumptuous sports seats, the superb seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, the cut-out sports leather steering wheel and of course the state-of-the-art dashboard that Audi has been calling the virtual display for some time now. . And, as a curiosity, senior editor Dušan Lukic and photographer Saša Kapetanović got into this car perfectly despite the smaller interior, so I had to make an effort to return his (smart) key... In the city, we only noticed a wider color C- a rack that obscures cyclists a bit from seeing at intersections, for easier access to the trunk (be careful, there are also classic tires in size 125/70 R19, which, despite being deprived of space, we always praise!), we were happy to use electric assistance. As described, only the rear seats have a little less room, so we advise you to put a larger child in the right rear seat, as it would be difficult to sit behind the person driving, and the left rear seat is only suitable for a small child. What do you think about using Isofix for toddlers who speak German well?

Now we are already on the 1,4-liter petrol engine, which produces a whopping 150 "horsepower" with the help of a turbocharger. In addition to being very responsive when starting off from a standstill, the engine is excellent for both dynamic and economical driving, when it consumes only six liters per 100 kilometers. The trick, of course, is in the Efficient Driving program, where the automatic transmission is much lazier, and the engine sometimes even cuts off two cylinders when driving moderately. You know, right, the COD technique or Cylinder On Demand is a well-known trick by the Audi technicians that doesn't bother you at all while driving! Well, in all other driving programs, driving more dynamically is a real pleasure, which means that you consume seven to nine liters of fuel! Do you still remember wider winter tires?! If that's a concern for you, consider a turbo diesel engine, perhaps with all-wheel drive?

The so-called head-up display is not displayed directly on the windshield, but on an additional surface that is always displayed behind the top of the dashboard, which is not the best solution (but cheaper), but we always liked the additional interior elements that are simply beautifully painted blue. And we loved the best Bang & Olufsen speakers!

The list of accessories is really long, which you can find in the special list. The Audi Q2 can be imagined with this kind of technology for only € 31.540 and we enjoyed a test with additional equipment for an additional € 20 thousand. Uh, a lot, but on the other hand, the car is at the highest level, despite its smaller size! Do you agree?
