There is a 2,7-liter unit with a capacity of 185 horsepower. It works with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid engine is also available, the power of which is 280 “horses”. It is equipped with a stepless variator. The most powerful unit is a 3,5-liter engine, whose power is 290 horsepower. It works together with an 8-speed automatic.
The manufacturing company claims that the automatic transmission allows you to reduce fuel consumption even with such a large engine. Mixed mode consumption is no more than ten liters.
Features of the body
There are practically no changes in the overall dimensions of the car. The basic dimensions remain the same as in the previous version. The car is 5,8 m long, 1,9 m wide, 1,7 m high. The wheelbase is 278,9 cm. The manufacturer considered these dimensions to be optimal, which is why he decided not to make any changes.
The price of the new Highlander
The new car will be produced at the American plant in Indiana. Therefore, sales have already begun there. For the European and Russian markets, the manufacturer will offer its new product at the beginning of 2017. The cost should be approximately 2,9 million rubles, depending on the use of a specific configuration.
