Equipment is never enough

Buyers, including those in Slovenia, are already quite spoiled. The machine itself is not even as important to us as the equipment. But that never happens.

You don't need to change into it from Beemve's Five, for example, enough to come from Punto. At first it seems an angle small truck: due to the high seat position, because cheap plastic prevails in appearance and touch, because the (driver's) legs are in the lower position and not forward, because you can hear the characteristic turbodiesel sound when starting and because you also usually perceive poor sound insulation.

Therefore, on such a Doblo you have to drive several kilometers to get used to each other. Probably the first thing that cheers you up is a large number of boxes and storage space, including large drawers in the doors and a bulky shelf above the windshield. The aforementioned Petyka and Punto don't even come close to it. True, they are not upholstered in fabric. It is also hard not to notice the Panda appliances, which also include on-board computer with double data, which has only the bad property of being "one-sided".

Then you start counting equipment items, available: very good manual air conditioning, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors (but unfortunately with a very remote adjustment button), four electrically adjustable windows (all four automatically in both directions), remote central locking, third folding rear bench, height-adjustable and lumbar-adjustable driver's seat, adjustable steering wheel in both directions and two (dashboard and trunk) 12-volt sockets. So a little of the comfort that we are used to from modern passenger cars.

Space!

If you're a family man, otherwise it's nice to know what's inside a lot of space in all directions, but the most beautiful part is still behind. There asymmetric swing doors with easy opening (and the ability to open even 180 degrees), they open up an almost perfect square space. In case you might not be paying attention: this is a Doblo from the Cargo family, which means that it must (by law) have a physically separate luggage compartment from the personal one. At first glance, this sounds like a disadvantage, but this is not always the case; it's in this Doblo barrier made of wire mesh (very “sparse”), making it easy to load bags and similar items onto the roof.

Bottom chest sheathed with fabric, the walls are half plastic (there is no double-glazed window there either), at the bottom there are four mounting lugs, one lamp on the side (too low!), and a shelf, which also folds, can be installed at two different heights and loaded up to 70 kg!! From the point of view of usability, as you understand from the description, the trunk deserves very high marks.

1,6-litre turbodiesel is the smart choice

Choose for him 1,6 liter turbodiesel good decision. In it, this engine, which premiered in Bravo, is neither an athlete nor even a racer. It is tuned for low to medium revs: it pulls well from 1.800 rpm to 3.000 rpm. A thousand higher is the upper understandable limit for him, but rarely really necessary, and in the first four gears it spins up to 5.000, which is completely unnecessary: noise inside it increases, the life is (probably) shorter, and the performance is not more, because this diesel also moves best with torque.

The maximum speed of such a motorized Doblo is not particularly high, but due to the torque, even under load, it accelerates quite quickly (of course, enough) to 150 kilometers per hour... In sixth gear, the engine spins at 3.000 rpm and is comfortable enough to go that fast. it is not burdensome not for him not for passengers. That is, you can also travel pretty decently with it.

Modesty is a beautiful chastity

And this is how the traveling driver will know that he 700 kilometers per charge achievable with ease, and for 1.000 you have to stick to the limit a little more and gently press the gas pedal. Oh modesty of consumption The on-board computer also speaks well as it is expected to consume 100 liters at 3,8 km / h in sixth gear, 130 liters at 5,2 and 160 liters at 9,4 km / h. It is also pleasant to stop less often because of refueling, because the refueling hole is on the left, the cap is on the key, and it is inconvenient to unscrew it.

It does not take long for the driver to get used to gearbox value when shifting when the task becomes easy, including reversing. But don't let it go from sixth to third right away. Surprisingly good, but definitely better than personal Fiats steering gear: precise, not otherwise sporty, which is actually correct, but just right, tough and with very good feedback, it's just a pity that the turning radius is significant, and the ring is made of (rough) plastic. The chassis is a little less "personal", but with such a Doblo carrying capacity, it doesn't even make sense to expect comfort from the air suspension of large sedans.

Holds; This Dobly passenger car, as we understand it today, does not have, for example, cruise control, a better audio system with mp3, leather on the steering wheel, bluetooth, audio controls on the steering wheel and much more. But ... A person does not need a lot of time to get used to what he offers, and to spend time in it is completely normal and stress-free. We can say that he has everything he needs neatly hidden under the roof. And yes, they also find a Doblo, which is not a Cargo and is much more luxurious than this at Fiat.

evaluation

  • This is how it happens when Fiat turns a delivery car into a personal one: a little more noise, slightly less pleasant interior materials, a little less equipment, and a little less suspension comfort than we are used to with cars at this price point. But there are still enough good sides, including those that larger and more expensive cars do not even come close to.
