Test Short: Seat Ibiza ST 1.4 Style

More recently, purchasing power has increased thanks to smaller minivans, which create a sense of spaciousness at the expense of a taller cabin. In reality, however, it is more important for some to be able to use extra inches in length.

The Ibiza ST differs from the five-door sedan by an additional 18 centimeters in length. Despite the wonders of these few inches, nothing gets in the way of the look. Some say it's even the nicest little van on the market.

Let's start from the back

If we open the back door we will see 430-liter trunk... It is not the biggest among the competitors, but the truth is that others are not strongly deviated. For comparison, we can say that the older "brother" Leon available 341 l. The back bench can be divided proportionally 60: 40 or demolished completely. In this case, we get a perfectly flat bottom and can even transport two wheels inside (with the front wheels unscrewed). The loading height is quite low (58 centimeters), so heavy and uncomfortable items are easier to fit inside.

Driver's interior and working environment

The interior is not much different from other Ibiza body styles. The back bench has a little more space, but still too little for longer trails, at least for children. The dashboard remains simple, with some dynamics suggesting only slightly sharper touches. The plastic is quite tough to the touch, and the materials of the door panels are also not the most pleasant.

engine

We have already tested Ibiza z several times 1,4 liter petrol... Again, nothing new was found. To quickly repeat history: this is an intermediate engine with a more modest cost. Since it is clear that expectations are low, it is all the more pleasant to find that the car is moving just decently. If not, it should be maintained at higher speeds when both noise and consumption increase significantly.

Seat I sat Ibiza ST the visual acuity of other body versions was retained despite the elongated rear end. This, in turn, provides the added usability that customers demand, even for small city vehicles.
