Test Brief: Ford Tourneo Courier 1.0 Ecoboost (74 kW) Titanium

It becomes a trend when clients approve of something. And these cars became a hit when users realized that a Kangoo could be the perfect family car. As the commercial vehicle market also spits out a smaller class of these vans, the passenger car versions of these little ones began to look like mushrooms after the rain. One of them is the Ford Tourneo Courier, which shares the platform with the Transit Courier. These cars usually have no roominess problems. In this case, it is huge over the heads of the passengers. Above the heads of the driver and co-driver, precisely because of the abundance of space, they took advantage of this and installed a ceiling shelf on which you can store all the little things so that it is always at hand.

The rear pair of sliding doors, which we have always praised, is a pity that the windows only open sideways with a lever (as in some three-door cars). The bench has enough room for two passengers, but it cannot be moved longitudinally or removed. You can only fold it down and increase the already huge trunk from 708 to as much as 1.656 liters of space. Loading luggage is easy as the boot is edgeless and has a low loading height. The back door is a little uncomfortable because it is large and requires a lot of space when opening, while tall people have to watch their head when the door is open. From the materials inside, it would be difficult to guess that this car is from the economy segment.

The plastic is high-quality to the touch, and the design of the dashboard itself is known from other civilian Fords. At the top of the middle set, you'll find a multifunction display that, despite its small size and resolution, hardly satisfies your needs. The poorly positioned 12V outlet, which sits right in front of the gear lever, also deserves criticism. The test Tourne was powered by a 75kW Ecoboost three-cylinder petrol engine, and we can confirm that Ford got along with it. Combined with the extremely precise steering wheel and well-tuned chassis, we can confirm that even with a car like this, you can enjoy the turns. The competition is far behind, and if driving performance is one of the requirements that you put at the forefront when buying this type of car, you do not have to think long about the right choice.
