Thus, it received a new grille for the engine, split headlights with LED signature and a slightly redesigned front bumper. Any controversy over refurbishment should end there, because anything else that's new to the Octavia is very welcome. The interior is thus updated with new ambient lighting, and the new 9,2-inch touchscreen is dedicated to entertainment and information content. Fingerprints and dust on the screen are irreplaceable, but they will convince you with a simple interface and user-friendly interface. Octavia now offers Internet access via a WLAN hotspot, so we also welcome the CarConnect system, which provides us with vehicle data remotely.
The package of advanced solutions is completed by a parking assistant, active cruise control, an emergency braking system with pedestrian detection and a traffic sign recognition system. Since the Octavia is the queen of space and usability, it was clear that little would change after the refurbishment. Especially behind the back of the passenger, where with a base volume of 610 liters it satisfies all needs, and with 1.740 liters with the seats folded down, it easily competes with the space offer of Postojna Cave. Additional value is added by accessories from the Simply Clever range, which provide user-friendly solutions such as an umbrella placed in the trunk, an ice scraper on the fuel cap, a key holder and a mobile phone. The most powerful version of the turbodiesel unit was installed on the test copy. The 184-horsepower four-cylinder puts power to the wheels via a DSG gearbox, and we've known how good that combination has been in the past. The equipment of the test car was also aimed at more demanding customers, as the Laurin & Klement package includes a Canton concert sound system, seat covers in Alcantara and leather combination, bi-xenon headlights… This configuration will be of particular interest to someone who wants to combine a family car with a company car. by car.
