Electric vehicle models develop and multiply in the market, like the well-known Renault ZOE and other Nissan LEAFs. However, the history of electric vehicles is richer than one might think since the first prototypes appeared. That is why La Belle Batterie would like to present you a model that is unique and little known in France: Th! Nk City.

Th! Nk City: a little-known electric car!

A few months ago, a driver from Th! Nk City contacted teams Beautiful battery to see if his car meets our battery health certificate for electric vehicles. Intrigued by this name, we discovered this model from Norway.

Th! The Nk City is a two-seater city car with a range of 160 km from the factory. It is therefore particularly suitable for urban and suburban mobility. Its maximum speed is 160 km. At that time Th! The Nk City was the first electric car to successfully pass 5 crash tests that allowed it to be used on motorways. 3,14 meters long and 1,59 meters wide, Th! Nk City surprised with its modest wingspan, which only allows two people to sit.

It is produced by the Norwegian manufacturer Th! Nk Global. Th! Nk City was sold mainly in Northern Europe, Norway and the Netherlands. In total, from 2 to 336, 2008 copies of Th! Nk City.

Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties, Th! Nk Global was forced to file for bankruptcy in June 2011 and, as a result, cease production of Th! Nk City. However, the model was rolled out in Europe and the United States, where it is still used today.

There is no doubt that the “small Nordic electric car,” as we call it, will be electromobility thanks to its small dimensions on the outside and maximum comfort on the inside. If you meet one of them on the road, you will now know its history.
