Automotive glasses undergo complex safety tests, which is confirmed by the E 8 quality mark applied to each of them. In addition to appropriate mechanical properties, glasses must provide adequate light transmission. Windows can be covered with tinted films that do not affect the driver's field of vision. It is unacceptable to stick foil on the windshield or use foil with a mirror effect.

Films certified by the Institute of Glass and Ceramics can be purchased from authorized workshops that also provide packaging services. The workshop must issue an appropriate certificate, which must be presented to the regulatory authorities.
