TOP 10 | The most unusual car accessories

Car personalization is almost a symbol of the 90th century. Even in the 90s of the last century, many cars were equipped with only the notorious steering wheel and wheels, but the requirements of buyers were not too high. At that time, especially in Poland, the biggest possibilities were the choice of body color and upholstery (obviously not always!), and rarities such as radio, central locking or alarm. There were exceptions to this rule, and, interestingly, not only in th years, but also much earlier. In modern automotive realities, especially in the Premium class, each car sold is as unique as possible. However, in the class of luxury cars, the most expensive, the most exclusive and the most coveted, one might venture to say that it is difficult to find two identical cars. Sometimes, however, the points of the price list of additional options make you dizzy (including their prices), sometimes you smile condescendingly, and sometimes incredulously. So, here is a list of the strangest options and accessories that can be found in mainstream cars.

1. Volkswagen New Beetle - boutonniere for flowers

For many of us, the VW New Beetle is a permanent feature of the landscape. Its first generation was built on the solutions of the Golf IV, but its body was reminiscent of the silhouette of the legendary ancestor. The new Beetle became synonymous with the woman's car, and in Western Europe and the US sold well enough for a resurgence of the legendary folk car, though it never repeated the success of the first Beetle. It's hard to believe that the Volkswagen concern, famous for its classic, tinted cars, decided on such an extravagant project. In Poland, this car is still popular among young people who can buy a replacement for a legend for a reasonable price. What is especially nice about equipping the new Beetta? A boutonniere for a flower in the car is a very nice idea. Of course, this has nothing to do with functionality and security, but I admit that it got me hooked. The male! If your woman drives a Beetle, sneak into her car one morning and leave a flower in her buttonhole. brick effect!

2 Jaguar F-Pace Wristband Key

You can park the new BMW 7 Series with the key, check the status of the car on the display in the remote control... But the key will always be there. For many, this is a kind of totem, but there are those who get tired of rummaging through their pockets before going out, remembering where I put it last time. What if you part with the key forever? The Jaguar F-Pace can be opened with a wrist strap. It's waterproof, works like a classic wireless key, has the British manufacturer's logo on our wrist, and few people are tempted to think it's just a car key. It's also a gadget for the humble and those who like to show off innovation.

3. Mercedes-Benz E-class and S-class - heated armrest

If you have ever had contact (literally) with the leather upholstery of a car on a frosty morning, then you know that seat heating, and recently the steering wheel heating, which has been gaining popularity lately, is a godsend. In a few moments, driving comfort changes 180 degrees, and the cold on the street no longer seems so scary. Heated seats and steering wheel are available not only in the middle class, but even in small city cars. If this is no longer a luxury, then how can you surprise with the comfort of someone who spends several hundred thousand zlotys on his car? Mercedes-Benz offers the option of ordering heated armrests in the E-Class and S-Class, as well as in the flagship saloon. Armrests for the second row of seats are also available. Many say that this is an excess of form over content. But on the other hand, if you immediately warm up, then let it be wherever possible. It's scary to think what else can be heated in modern limousines ....

4. Volvo S80 - key guard with heart rate monitor

The Swedish car manufacturer has long been known for building the safest cars in the world. The car brand owes many safety innovations to the Volvo brand. For many years, engineers from Gothenburg have been doing their best to ensure that each new product pleases with new innovations in the field of safety. In the last decade, the focus has been on checking the condition of the car, that is, keeping track of whether the car is closed or open, whether it is open, empty or full. In a word, the thief was supposed to be detected by a car. This is how the Personal Car Communicator key appeared, which was supposed to inform the owner about the state of the car using a colored LED. Green light - the car is locked, yellow light - open, red light - the alarm is triggered. How about recognizing a thief? The Swedes decided to install an "extremely sensitive radio heart rate monitor" in the car, capable of smelling even a motionless, but living figure. Sounds ominous enough, but they say it worked flawlessly.

5. Mini Countryman - roof top

Have you bought your mini crossover yet? You can go on a mini trip, pack a mini trunk with mini suitcases, and if you want to take a nap in nature, you can do it on your mini roof in a mini tent. Rooftop tents have been used for years by off-road enthusiasts who pollute their ubiquitous vehicles to the limit by taking the least visited routes, sometimes with no other choice and forced to spend the night on the roof. The need arose probably because of safari expeditions, where spending the night in a tent on the ground could expose vacationers to unexpected animal attacks. It is difficult to put the urban Countryman on a par with the off-road Nissan Patrol or Toyota Land Cruiser, but there is a chance to find a replacement for a big adventure, or rather its symbol mounted on the roof. Unfortunately, this offer is addressed only to thin people or children - the maximum load capacity of the Countryman roof is declared by the manufacturer at only 75 kg.

6. Fiat 500 L - coffee maker

With the development of the new 500, Fiat returned to its roots and resurrected a legend. Italian design is what many true car enthusiasts love, and combined with the shape of a small and stylish city car, it was to be a recipe for commercial success. Produced in Poland, like the Fiat 126p in the past, the Fiat 500 is successfully sold throughout Europe as well as in the USA. Developing this concept, new models were created from the 500 - 500 L line, which were to serve as a family car, and 500 X, which consisted of the crossover "". More Italian in an Italian car? Well, if you could drink espresso while driving, but not the one at the gas station ... No problem - together with Lavazza Fiat, they prepared an accessory mini espresso machine, which in Italian cars should be as important as air conditioning or ABS.

7. Cadillac Eldorado Brougham 1957 - minibar and dressing table in the glove compartment

Do you think that original equipment is the prerogative of modern cars? Nothing out of this! Even 70 years ago in the USA, designers made efforts to make potential buyers pay attention to their model. For years, Cadillac has been one of the most luxurious car brands outside of the Great Water, striving from the outset to meet the expectations of the most demanding customers. The 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, among its many optional extras, offered special storage equipment on the passenger side. The set included: a magnetic stainless steel minibar, a basic make-up set, a hairbrush, a notebook with a high-quality genuine leather cover, a steel cigarette case, a bottle of “Arpege Extrait de Lanvin” perfume. This is called momentum and care for the smallest details!

8. Tesla S and Tesla X - biochemical attack protection mode

All Tesla models are gadgets in themselves. In an era of constant dominance of internal combustion cars, having an “electric” is still a big deal. A business magazine in the US published an article saying that people in the world don't want to buy any electric cars - they want to buy Tesla. Knowing this, Tesla engineers took care of their customers by creating a Premium Convenience Package that includes: an advanced in-car air filtration system that can even take us safely through a biochemical attack zone! Such equipment can be found in armored presidential and government limousines, which cost millions of zlotys to adapt to such tasks. A Tesla with the Premium upgrade package costs about PLN 15000 more. Maybe this is a solution for the Poles, especially during the months of fighting smog?

9 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé Picnic Basket

Throughout the world, Rolls-Royce is synonymous with the highest level of luxury. The list of options for the British manufacturer's dream limousine extends to several tens and sometimes hundreds of thousands of options to choose from. If a customer communicates an extremely extravagant need, Rolls-Royce consultants do their best to at least see if the dream can be realized. Owning a Ghost, Phantom or any other car bearing the name "Spirit of Ecstasy" is tantamount to being part of a very exclusive group of people in the world. This group has unusual requirements, entertainment and ways of spending time. A special picnic basket was prepared for them, costing about 180 zlotys. For this price, buyers received an aluminum basket covered with the highest quality leather and exotic wood, and inside there were crystal glasses, a decanter and special personalized elements with the owner’s initials. The basket was produced in an edition of 000 to commemorate the release of the 50st edition of the Phantom Coupé. The price seems astronomical, but when you buy a car for more than a million zlotys, you can go crazy from time to time.

10. Bentley Bentayga - Mulliner overlay kit

Owners of very expensive cars often take part in the most elegant sports in the world, such as golf, polo (not Volkswagen), cricket, sailing and finally… fishing. It should be remembered that the Bentayga is a large SUV that looks great on the streets of cities, but is not afraid of trips to the lake or river, even in places where there are no official roads. Created for Bentley customers, the Mulliner kit was handcrafted from leather and wood. It consists of four rods (each with its own special case) and a large bag for all the necessary accessories and lures. The cost of acquiring a set is more than a million zlotys, but it certainly allows you to fish in a truly aristocratic style. It's easy to tell the difference between the average Passat B5 FL angler and the Bentayga owner. But what do they have in common? The fact is that both Passat and Bentayga are produced by the same automobile concern - VAG.
