Fuel cards for individuals
Despite the fact that modern cars are equipped with economical direct injection engines that consume from 5 to 10 liters per hundred kilometers of the urban cycle, motorists still face the fact of a constant rise in fuel prices. Naturally, they want to save money, spend money not on an extra liter of gasoline, but on a trip to a restaurant or a trip to the sea.
There are many ways to save:

- use of the car only for trips out of town.

What are fuel cards for individuals?
Almost any large network of gas stations offers its regular customers the opportunity to save. Roughly speaking, fuel cards for individuals can be divided into two subspecies:
- bonus accumulative cards;
- payment cards for cashless payments at gas stations.
Already from the name you can guess how the cards of the first type work - in the same way as any other bonus card in a grocery supermarket, or in a chain of electronics stores.
To issue such a card, you just need to receive a questionnaire at a gas station, fill it out and give it to the manager, or make a purchase for a certain amount, or purchase this very card for a symbolic fee - maximum 300 rubles.
As soon as the card is activated, bonuses begin to arrive on it. The scheme of their receipt should be described in the appendix to the card itself. Usually it is 1-3 percent of the amount spent. These bonuses gradually accumulate and you can pour a couple of liters of gasoline into your tank for them if there is not enough money.
Well, of course, various promotions often start in the gas station network, by participating in which you get the opportunity to win something very necessary: a T-shirt, beach slippers, a flashlight or a tourist kit. Perhaps extra slippers will not be useful to you on the farm, but the opportunity to win a prize ticket for 1000 liters of gasoline is a good gift for the driver.
Cards of the second type work according to the same scheme, but one important option is added here:
- you don't have to wait until bonuses are accumulated, because such a card can be topped up both at gas stations and through a bank or electronic payment systems.
Another name for such cards is co-branded, that is, the network concludes a service contract with its partner bank using the VISA or Maestro system. Accordingly, such a card makes it possible to withdraw money from it at ATMs, pay for any purchases through payment terminals. Plus, from all this you are credited with a certain bonus to your account and you can pay for gasoline at gas stations without cash.
One of these co-brand cards is Lukoil-Petrocommerce, which is accepted for payment at LUKOIL gas stations.
You can also purchase fuel cards at fuel processing companies that are partners of oil companies and fuel card operators. There are a lot of names of such companies, the largest and most famous is Petrol Plus, whose cards are accepted at 11 thousand gas stations in Russia, as well as in the CIS and Europe.
The benefits of using such cards are obvious:
- saving time and money;
- fuel consumption control;
- security - all information is securely protected;
- the opportunity to win various gifts and take part in promotions;
- the ability to use such cards as payment cards not only at gas stations, but also at any other outlets;
- access to all the services of oil companies - maintenance, repairs, tire inflation, washing, calling a tow truck, roadside assistance, and so on.
Thus, we see that a fuel card for individuals is a very useful thing. You may not believe that you will become the winner of some promotion and win a valuable prize in the form of free fuel coupons (or baseball caps), but bonuses still drip, and free 5-10 liters of gasoline will never hurt.
