Finding and replacing the Pajero Sport fuel filter is not difficult. This can be done anywhere, on the side of the road, in the garage, or anywhere else. Its replacement is carried out in different ways, depending on the version of the jeep.
On the frame, below there is a fuel cleaner for Pajero Sport gasoline. There are two of them in diesel modifications: under the hood there is an FTO with a pallet, and at the fuel pump in the tank there is an SGO.

The replacement event will not take long, as the gas cleaner is located in a convenient place, just below the passenger door, in the frame.
The replacement algorithm is given below.
- Disconnect the connector from the pump (the latches should be pressed with your fingers).
- Remove the filter connector by placing a rag or empty container under the tube.
- Start the engine "cold", as soon as it starts to stall, stop it.
- Unscrew the fuel hose nut (do not forget to put a rag).
- Unscrew the two screws on the bracket and remove the frame.
The fuel cleaner of the gasoline Pajero Sport is fixed with a locking bolt on the bracket. To remove and replace it, you need to loosen the clamp, and then pull out the filter. The new part is inserted in place of the old one.
Attention. The Pajero Sport fuel cell has body mounting ribs. They are designed to fit into slots in the bracket. The ribs must be in the correct position.
The exact position is when the part sits on the mount, its suction tube is at the top of the element and as far away from the frame as possible.

The PTF on the diesel Pajero Sport is located under the hood, on the driver's side. It is not immediately visible, because the fasteners are held from below, under the pump, and removed along with it. SGO is installed in the fuel tank.

Replacement algorithm:
- first of all, turn off the RD (pressure regulator) by removing the harness holder from the bracket;
- disconnect the hoses going to the booster fuel pump;

- remove the wiring from the water sensor;
- loosen the fuel hoses, remove them.
The pump of the diesel version of the Pajero Sport is located on the support. To get it, you need to unscrew the latches. There are two of them, they are removed with a head or a key for 12.

It remains to separate the bracket and the pump unit from the FTO. To do this, the structure is clamped in a vice (in no case with a filter!), And then the element is disassembled with a puller.
SGO
To get to the SGO (coarse mesh), you need to fold the Pajero Sport rear sofa into the passenger compartment, remove the plugs, lift the carpet and unscrew the tank hatch screws.

Next, all supply hoses and pipes are removed, nuts are unscrewed around the entire perimeter of the fuel intake cover. Removing and replacing grilles is not difficult.
