Wasp Cake: Amazing Swedish Electric Scooter

The new Cake model, presented in Milan at EICMA, stands out for its particularly sleek appearance and many customization options.  

While we've already gotten us into a minimalist box with KalkE, its first model, the Swedish manufacturer Cake goes even further with their latest creation that we could believe right out of Meccano.

Called Ösa, it exhibits some pretty amazing aesthetic choices and looks more like a scooter than an electric motorcycle. It clearly showcases the large battery pack and features a bare frame on which you can add a variety of accessories. Children's transport, an SUV for professionals and craftsmen, a recreational vehicle ... According to Cake, this "simple" base can accommodate over 1000 different configurations, which means almost limitless customization possibilities.

45 or 70 km / h

Modularity is also present in the technical part. In an effort to best adapt to the needs of its customers, Cake offers two versions of its electric motorcycle: Ösa + and Ösa Lite. Approved in the 50 equivalent category, the Lite version is content with a 4 kW electric motor and a top speed of 45 km / h, while the "+" version reaches 7 kW for a top speed of 100 km / h.

As for the battery, the manufacturer also offers a choice of two configurations, 1,5 or 2,5 kWh, for a range of up to 100 km. In addition to powering the machine, this battery can also serve as a mobile power supply and, in particular, has an output voltage of 12V.

First deliveries in March 2020

Osa Lite and Osa +, retailed for € 4500 and € 6500, are already available for pre-order with a first payment of € 200. The first deliveries are expected from March 2020.
