Toyota Land Cruiser GR Sport 300 Series 2022 review: LC300 snapshot

GR Sport is the new adventure-focused trim level in the new LandCruiser LC300 range, which sits almost alongside the more luxurious Sahara ZX at the very top of the range. It is advertised at a price of $137,790 (MSRP).

You can choose the Sahara for $6,600 less or upgrade to the Sahara ZX for an additional $1000.

The adventure philosophy of the GR Sport differs from the luxury of the Sahara with black details and the classic uppercase TOYOTA badge on the grille, a bunch of GR badges, and a bunch of unpainted plastic to make it more durable when you're riding off-road.

In addition, it only has five seats trimmed in black or black and red leather and lacks the rear seat screens found on the Sahara, making it perfect for installing a refrigerator and a set of boxes in the trunk for travel.

The front and rear diff locks are further proof of this idea, and it is the only model to feature the smart e-KDSS active anti-roll bar system, allowing for more suspension travel in rough terrain.

Like all LC300 trim levels, the GR Sport is powered by a new 227-litre V700 twin-turbo diesel engine with 3.3 kW/6 Nm and an official fuel consumption figure of 8.9 l/100 km.
