Toyota Announces Pricing for 2022 Tundra Starting at $37,645

The 2022 Toyota Tundra receives a major update not only to its exterior and interior design, but also to its powertrain, which adds power. The 2022 Tundra will arrive in dealerships in late 2021 with a base price of $37,645 for the non-hybrid SR trim.

This is arguably the most significant update for the 2022 model and we are very happy about it as this facelift really felt necessary and was also very well received by the public. Everyone loves the massive tech upgrades Toyota has given it, however we've been waiting to find out how much this new model will cost, and thanks to Toyota's announcement on Thursday, we now know it.

How much does the base model cost?

The base model Tundra SR with two-wheel drive, short bed, and crew cab will set you back a very reasonable $37,645, including Toyota's $1,695 destination charge. It's not exactly cheap or anything, but it still looks like good value for the money, and not bad for what would be a reasonably well-equipped base model work truck on par with the rest of the class.

How much does a Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition cost?

What if you have more money to spend on your next truck? How high does the Tundra go before the options? Well, for you, the top-of-the-line 4 Edition 4x1794 Cab will set you back $62,715, but that gives you all sorts of bells and whistles, plus every vague Western-themed twist you can touch.

Also, you might be wondering why it's called Edition 1794. A ranch was established that year that now houses Toyota's San Antonio assembly plant. The non-hybrid iForce V6 Tundra is estimated by the EPA to achieve 18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined with the 2WD SR model. The all-wheel-drive models get slightly worse, as expected, by 17/23/19 mpg, respectively.

The non-hybrid 2022 Toyota Tundra will hit dealerships before the end of 2021, with a hybrid model coming next spring.
