Toyota released a video to show just how rough the new Tundra platform has become, dumping increasingly heavier and rougher materials and objects into it. With this video, the car manufacturer demonstrates that the 2022 Toyota Tundra is still one of the trucks. pickup the strongest on the market.

The video shows a number of building materials and tools being unceremoniously thrown or dropped onto the bed. Dramatic slow-motion footage shows the body of a Toyota pickup truck shuddering and twitching as these objects collide with the black plastic covering of the bed.

Toyota demonstrates the strength of the tundra with a boat anchor, metal toolbox, cobblestone, red brick, river rock, and 960 pounds of retaining wall blocks. The blocks did strike, but Tundra stood up straight and took the blow to the chin (of the bed).

The 2022 Toyota Tundra features a fully enclosed frame and an aluminum-reinforced composite platform that combines sheet composite with aluminum cross members. This is rebuilt engineering at its finest.

The new 2022 Tundra features an upgraded engine, a new i-FORCE MAX V6 twin-turbocharged hybrid powertrain that produces 437 horsepower (hp) and 583 lb-ft of torque.
