Toyota will soon introduce a new crossover
The Japanese company has prepared an advertising teaser for a new car in the back of a crossover. The model will compete with Honda and Mazda (HR-V and CX-30). The novelty will be presented on July 09.07, 2020 in Thailand.
The advertising message states that it will be a Toyota SUV. Most likely, it will be based on the TNGA-C platform (the modular type allows you to quickly change the layout and expand the range of power units in the future). It is also based on the latest generation Toyota Corolla. For this reason, there are expectations that the new product will also be named Corolla.
Dimensions of the machine will be: length 4460 mm, width 1825 mm, height 1620 mm, wheelbase 2640 mm, clearance 161 mm.
The range of engines will include a naturally aspirated 1,8-liter gasoline engine (140 hp and 175 Nm of torque). The power unit will be paired with a CVT transmission. In addition to the standard engine, the novelty will be equipped with a soft hybrid system. The gasoline engine in this layout will be 100 hp.
It is still known that the model is presented for the market of Southeast Asia. Will a global version be created - the presentation will show.
