Toyota Supra GRMN will receive engine from BMW M3

Japanese manufacturer Toyota will release the most powerful version of the Supra sports coupe, which will receive the GRMN addition to its name and will be equipped with a 6-cylinder engine from the BMW M3 / M4, according to CarsWeb.

According to information, an engine with a displacement of 3,0 liters and 6 cylinders will develop 510 hp. and will work in conjunction with the DCT 7-speed robotic gearbox. The traction will be transmitted to the rear wheels, and it will be the most powerful Supra in the history of the model.

Information about the car came from the head of the Supra project - Tetsuya Tada. He admits that BMW doesn't want to share its engines with Toyota, but the Supra GRMN will be limited to 200 units and that won't affect sales of the Bavarian company and its Z4.

The launch of the Toyota Supra GRMN is scheduled for 2023, and the price of this car will reach 100 euros. This will be a farewell series of the cult model, the production of which will be stopped in 000, and the development and launch of its successor is not planned.
