Toyota Tundra V8 - Pickup XXL

Since Toyota released the economical electric Prius, its image in the eyes of most people has changed a lot. The brand is considered an environmentally friendly and economical company.

In a constant chase provoked by laws, Toyota has managed to meet the requirements for emissions and environmental protection. However, this well-known brand has two faces, and we would like to present it a little more original.

Toyota Tundra V8 - Pickup XXL

The recent financial crisis has taken its toll on the US auto market. Pickup truck sales plummeted, and car exporters forgot about the great America for a long time. However, now the situation is completely different. Companies such as Ford, General Motors and Chrysler sold almost a million vehicles in the first ten months of the year. Toyota also began to find success abroad again. The Tundra is especially popular with big boys in America. Almost 76 copies of this impressive pickup have been sold this year alone. Why does this model deserve such attention?

The Toyota Tundra is no ordinary pickup truck we're used to. In terms of dimensions, it looks more like a truck than an SUV.

The length of the tundra is almost six meters. Just getting into this car requires a lot of effort. However, it is only when you take your seat inside that you realize just how big this car is. The center console is clearly enlarged, which gives the impression of a nice command center. Thanks to this high position, the possibility of limitless observation of the environment opens up, especially in off-road conditions. Inside you will find everything you need to feel truly luxurious. Leather interior, GPS navigation, air conditioning, cup holders, plenty of storage space and more space than the BMW 7 Series.

Aside from the huge cabin, the Tundra delivers really decent performance for such a big car. No wonder, then, that it is so successful in the USA when such a powerful engine is hidden under the hood. The 8-liter V5,7 has a power of 381 hp and a torque of 544 Nm.

The six-speed automatic transmission takes power from the powerful engine and sends it to all four wheels. Despite such huge dimensions, the car is very dynamic. Muscular Toyota Tundra accelerates to hundreds in just 6,3 seconds. Top speed reaches 170 km / h, but this is just a formality with such powerful acceleration.

Of course, this is not a car for the economical, and no one even asks about exhaust emissions. The fuel tank holds 100 liters of fuel. No wonder, because the Tundra can use 20 liters of gas per hundred.

Although Toyota is a Japanese brand, the Tundra is made in the USA, namely at a plant located in San Antonio. The deluxe double cab V8 model costs over $42.

The Toyota Tundra is ideal for a market that values comfortable vehicles that allow the whole family to travel out of town for outdoor activities. Why is it not sold in Europe? The answer is simple. The tundra is too big for us. Finding a parking space for such a car in European cities would be a miracle. Besides, free movement will no longer be so free. The turning circle when turning is almost 15 meters!
