Toyota Yaris GR Sport. The version debuts in Europe

And here's how he introduces the new Yaris GR Sport, which is joining the big family. These include the fourth-generation Yaris, European Car of the Year 2021 winner, the hugely popular sporty GR Yaris, which, along with many accolades, won the prestigious 2021 Golden Steering Wheel in Germany, and the all-new Yaris Cross. crossover.

The new Yaris GR Sport features a special Dynamic Gray paint job exclusive to the GR Sport lineup. This color scheme, combined with a black roof and other black accents, creates an elegant two-tone composition. A distinctive element of the car's appearance are also specially designed 18-inch wheels with polished surfaces and red ornaments, which refer to the colors of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing team, which represents Toyota in the most prestigious international rallies and races. The front grille has been given a completely new grille pattern with a distinctive "G" motif. At the rear, the dynamic character of the Yaris GR Sport is accentuated by a new T-shaped diffuser.

References to TOYOTA GAZOO Racing are also visible in the cabin. The GR logo is applied to the steering wheel, seat backs, start button and dashboard.

The Yaris GR Sport has Ultrasuede™ eco-suede upholstery as standard and heated seats. Red stitching is also visible on the perforated leather steering wheel and shifter. Exclusive GR Sport metal accents can be found on the doors and sides of the cabin, as well as on the center console and steering wheel.

The Yaris GR Sport is offered with both a super-efficient 1.5-liter hybrid drive with a total output of 116 hp and a classic 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 125 hp. and intelligent manual transmission (iMT). This transmission automatically increases engine speed when downshifting to ensure smooth gear changes. The iMT system also prevents bumps when upshifting. This solution also makes it easier to start from a standstill, which is smoother and more dynamic.

Both the front and rear suspensions of the Yaris GR Sport have been redesigned to improve performance. The dampers respond more quickly at low speeds, resulting in better steering response and driving comfort. The rear springs have been optimized to increase body stability and provide better wheel traction during acceleration and braking.

As part of the development of the Yaris GR Sport, Toyota engineers improved the accuracy of the electronic power steering, making the car more responsive to steering inputs and more enjoyable to drive. The very rigid chassis that the Yaris owes to the modular TNGA platform has been further reinforced. The aerodynamics of the car has increased due to additional pads inside the wheel arches front and rear.

The new Yaris GR Sport will be available in Poland from the second quarter of 2022.
