Triumph unveils its first electric bike

The Triumph Trekker GT, developed in collaboration with Shimano, promises up to 150 kilometers of autonomy.

More than ever, manufacturers need to expand their product range. While Harley-Davidson prepares its electric bike lineup, British Triumph is following suit and has just unveiled its first model.

Technically, there is no question of own development. Moving on to the simplest, Triumph partnered with Japanese supplier Shimano to develop its electric bike. Thus, the Triumph Trekker GT will receive a 6100W E250 electric drive. Integrated into the system, it is linked to a 504 Wh battery that promises up to 150 kilometers at best.

The bike section features a Shimano Deore ten-speed derailleur and 27,5-inch Schwalbe Energizer Green Guard tires. In terms of equipment, the Trekker GT gets exclusive handles with the manufacturer's logo, LED lights, a trunk and a locking device.

Available in two colors, Matt Silver Ice and Matt Jet Black, the Triumph electric bike is designed specifically for fans of the brand. Aimed at the upper end of the range, it starts at € 3250. For others, you'll probably find less expensive ones by choosing lesser-known brands.
