In recent years, SUVs, or rather SUVs, have made a real career, i.e. cars with the appearance of SUVs, but accustomed to driving on paved roads. They are usually bought only for prestige, because not only are they not suitable for driving on real terrain, but also few of their owners ever leave the pavement at all. Already in November last year, the EU countries decided to ban the installation of front protection on cars. This is for pedestrian safety. In most EU countries, the installation of piping on newly purchased cars is already prohibited (however, pipes do not need to be disassembled on previously purchased cars). In Poland, these rules should come into force in June. So far, no one has heard about the planned bans at diagnostic stations. At the three “named” regional inspection stations in Poznań, a roadster with piping will pass inspection without any problems – provided that the design does not cover the headlights.
