Thousands of New Ram 1500 Double Cab Vehicles Recalled Due to Potential Visibility Issues

Ram 1500 is under recall.

Ram Australia has recalled 2540 examples of the 1500 double cab pickup due to a manufacturing defect that could cause visibility problems.

For MY 19 vehicles MY 20-1500 sold between January 1, 2019 and May 15, 2020, the recall concerns a wiper arm pivot head that can be removed.

In this case, the wiper arm will not operate properly and visibility may be impaired.

In such a scenario, the risk of an accident and, consequently, injury to passengers and other road users increases.

Ram Australia will contact affected owners by mail with instructions to register their vehicle with their preferred dealership for any necessary repairs free of charge.

Those seeking further information can call Ram Australia on 1300 681 792 or contact their preferred dealership.

A full list of affected Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) can be found on the ACCC Product Safety Australia website of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
