UBCO 2 × 2: Two-wheel drive electric motorcycle.

In New Zealand, two engineers have just launched the UBCO 2 × 2, an all-electric two-wheel drive all-terrain motorcycle.

While all-wheel drive systems have become commonplace in the auto industry, two New Zealand engineers Anthony Clyde and Daryl Neal have just expanded the two-wheeler concept with their UBCO 2 × 2 electric motorcycle.

Undoubtedly unique of its kind, the UBCO 2 × 2 is thus equipped with two 1 kW electric motors mounted on each wheel, which is enough to ensure the complete lightness of this electric motorcycle on all types of terrain.

A lithium-ion battery housed in the frame provides 2 kWh of energy, and the designers say the range ranges from 70 to 150 km depending on terrain and driving conditions.

It remains to be seen if this electric motorcycle will ever be marketed in Europe. Until then, you can see her in action in the video below.
