Principle of operation
A wrench is needed for unscrewing threaded elements: bolts and nuts. The tool is narrow-profile, so it is rarely found in the garages of ordinary citizens. It is purchased as professional equipment for construction sites, car services, tire fitting.
The rotating shank of the tool ends with a working part - a wrench head. Depending on the type of equipment, the movement can be set:
- hands of the worker (manual);
- electric motor (electric network or battery);
- compressed air (pneumatic);
- working fluid (hydraulic);
- gasoline engine (gasoline).
Universal models are equipped with a reverse. Switching the operating mode allows you to unscrew and tighten the hardware. In some tools, a torque regulator is installed.
Professional equipment is equipped with a pulse-shock clutch. The blows are directed in the direction of rotation. Pulses increase power, make it easier to unscrew the hardware.
