Car theft. How to protect the car from theft "on a suitcase"? (Video) Cars with smart keys have finally outsmarted even the smartest thieves. All thanks to Polish scientists. They created a device that protects cars from the so-called suitcase theft.

A popular method of stealing a car among thieves is the so-called suitcase. An experienced thief does it in 6 seconds. With the help of an electronic transmitter, he breaks into and steals a new, luxurious and theoretically heavily guarded car. In practice, it looks like one of the thieves with an antenna amplifier is approaching the windows of the house. The device looks for a key signal, which is often located near a window or front door. The second person at this time pulls the door handle so that the car begins to demand a signal from the key. In theory, he should find the key signal when he is near the car. "Suitcase" breaks this protection with a second amplifier - as a result, the car receives a signal in the same way as the original key.

Thieves can stop the invention of Polish scientists. The controlled device uses a motion sensor and a microprocessor. It is in the form of a clip that can be attached to the remote control battery. The microprocessor analyzes the movements of the person and on this basis turns on or off the power of the remote control. To activate the secure remote control, stand next to the car for a moment and double-tap the key, for example in your pocket. When the driver turns off the engine, he does not need to do anything to re-lock the remote control.

Another protection against the method of stealing a car with a suitcase was introduced by Land Rover. The car measures the response time to a signal from the key. If it is longer because it passes through the thieves' vehicles, the car interprets it as an attempted theft. He won't open the door or start the car.
