The all-new 2022 Range Rover has been leaked online a week before the official reveal.

Images supposedly from French magazine 4×4 appeared on the forum on the same day that Land Rover showed a teaser image of a large fifth-generation SUV.

Evolution is the name of the game when it comes to the exterior design of a luxury icon, especially the front. The headlights and grille are a clear continuation of the current model, but the rest of the front end, including the bumper, looks more minimalist.

Overall, the design is cleaner, with fewer styles and a smoother finish than the previous model. Note the flush door handles found on other Land Rover products such as the Range Rover Velar.

It retains the signature Range Rover tinted glass roof, but the slightly tapered roof is new.

The biggest design change is at the rear, with all-new vertical taillights paired with full-size units that also house the Range Rover badge. Unlike the current model, the taillights are not visible from the side.

The plush interior is brand new, with a fresh four-spoke steering wheel design and a large multimedia touchscreen, but it retains a few dials on the dashboard.

New seats are installed throughout, and the new Rangie will be offered with the option of a third row of seats.

Big changes occur under the skin. It will be the first Range Rover model to be based on the flexible Jaguar Land Rover MLA platform, enabling internal combustion engines, plug-in hybrids and all-electric powertrains.

The EV version is not expected to hit European roads until around 2024, but a number of four- and six-cylinder diesel variants are expected from launch in various states, some with mild hybrid power.

Some reports suggest that former Land Rover owner BMW's 4.4-liter turbocharged petrol V8 could replace the supercharged 5.0-liter unit used in a number of JLR products.

The fourth generation Range Rover went on sale in Australia in early 2013 with an update in 2018.

Sales are up two percent this year, but its 147 units lag behind other prestigious large SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS (751), BMW X7 (560), Audi Q8 (273) and Lexus LX (287). ).

Current Ranger Rover prices range from just over $200,000 excluding travel expenses to $400,000 for the long-wheelbase SV Autobiography.
