A Buick was invaded by 15,000 bees in a shopping center parking lot while its owner was shopping for groceries.

Going to the supermarket is one of the most common activities in a person's life, but after reading this story, you may want to pay more attention to your car when parking so as not to get hurt.

A resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico, was shocked after he quickly entered the grocery store. What surprised him was not the possible price of milk or anything else, but 15,000 bees live in the back seat of a Buick who was driving

The driver of the car allegedly made a 10-minute stop at a local Albertsons supermarket around 4:70 a.m. Sunday, according to local emergency reports and the New York Times. With temperatures above degrees that day, the man decided to leave the rear windows of the Buick open while he bought his things. But this small decision resulted in a swarm of bees quickly taking "temporary residence" inside the car.

By the time the driver returned to what appeared to be a Buick Century, which he apparently borrowed from a friend, an estimated 15,000 bees had accumulated on the passenger side of the car. The driver also didn't seem to notice his new flying friends because he reportedly started driving away before realizing his car had attracted visitors.

That's when he called 911. Luckily for the driver, rescuers knew the man from work: an on-duty firefighter named Jesse Johnson.

Of the 37 years of his life, Johnson spent 10 of them at the Las Cruces Fire Department. And during this time he had several additional hobbies: being a paramedic, a father of two children and a beekeeper.

Normally LCFD does not eliminate bee swarms, but since the supermarket was a high traffic area and Johnson was willing to help, they were able to respond quickly and effectively to pollinator swarms.

Johnson believes that bees could separate from a neighboring colony, something common in the spring months. He used his knowledge of beekeeping and proper protective clothing to get the bees out of the Buick and the security service moved them to their propertywhere he currently has four hives. Johnson said that all the bees together weighed 3.5 pounds.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the entire incident. only two people were stung: fireman and store guard.
